Memorial Day weekend

This weekend we just stayed around the area. We did a lot of yard work and did manage to do some fun things with the kids. We took them to the park where Ty was able to go on the swing for the first time. We also went to the sprinkler park. For Memorial day we spent most of the day at Nikki's parent's house. The kids had fun running through the sprinkler.

Swimming Lessons

A brief clip of Tayler and Trey at swimming lessons. The lessons are now over, but Tayler and Trey did show a lot of improvement. Tayler loves practicing her backstroke.(She always tried to keep perfect form), and Trey likes making a big splash.

A Day at the Track!

We headed down to the Indianapolis Speedway for Community Day. The Indy 500 is this weekend so they have a lot of different things planned at the track during the month of May. The kids had fun with all the different things that there were to do. The weather was perfect, and it wasn't really very crowded. The highlight for the kids was the Sonicflood concert.

Gone Fishing...

Last night Tayler and Trey had their first experience with fishing. Unfortunately the only thing they caught was seaweed, but they thought that it was pretty exciting. We'll have to take them out again soon, and hopefully they will have some better luck.

Mother's Day

Yesterday was a special day here. Not only was it Mother's Day but a lot of other exciting things went on in our family. At church the trio that Nikki is part of sang, and ladies had their daughters join them in the song (Tayler was so cute). This was also a special event for us. He is such a joy to have, and we are so thankful to have him in our family. Nikki and I were also able to spend Mother's Day with both of our Mom's so that just added to our day.

The weekend

Ty has hit the 9 month mark. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. He is a lot of fun and is developing quite the personality. This weekend Nikki, Tayler, and Trey all headed downtown to watch me(and 30,000 others) run the Indy half marathon. It was fun to hear the kid's cheer as I ran past them. The other picture is of the kids before church on Sunday. Usually we are running out the door without the chance to take any pictures, but we had a few extra minutes this week.

The Indianapolis Children's Museum

Last night we took the kids to the Childrens' Museum. It has been a long time since we were there. The kids were able to test out and explore a lot of different things. Currently they have a special exhibit with the Magic School Bus and Tayler and Trey enjoyed that. The carousel was also a big hit.
